General Directions to
Mansfield University
From the North: Follow
I-86 to Painted Post, NY (just west of
Corning, NY). Take Rt. 15 South for 26
miles. As you approach Mansfield, take the
Rte. 6 exit and turn left onto Rte. 6 East.
Watch for our sign after you pass the
traffic light in Mansfield. The main
entrance on Academy Street is just ahead on
the right.
From the West:
Follow Route 6 East through Coudersport,
Galeton, Gaines, & Wellsboro. Mansfield is
12 miles east of Wellsboro on Rte. 6. Watch
for our sign after you pass the traffic
light in Mansfield. The main entrance on
Academy Street is just ahead on the right.
From the East:
Follow Route 6 West through Tunkhannock,
Wysox, Wyalusing, Towanda, & Troy. From
Troy, continue west through Sylvania &
Mainesburg for approx. 16 miles. Entering
Mansfield, the university is on the left.
The first entrance is at the bottom of a
hill, you will see mostly parking lot
there. Go to the next entrance on the
left. If you go to Academy Street, you have
gone too far for the music building.
From the South:
Follow Route 15 North through Williamsport.
Continue on Rt. 15 for 50 miles. As you
approach Mansfield, take the Rte. 6 exit and
turn left onto Rte. 6 East. Watch for our
sign after you pass the traffic light in
Mansfield. The main entrance on Academy
Street is just ahead on the right.
TO
BUTLER MUSIC CENTER
Do
not turn to the main entrance, instead
continue east on route 6, going around a
large curve to the next MU entrance. Turn
right, go up hill one block to the T and
turn left. Go past the daycare center and
turn right at the end of the cement wall.
Follow this road up through two parking
lots, until you are passing a building on
the right. The road will then curve up and
around to the left in a sharp curve. You
have now reached Butler Music Center. There
are three parking lots, one right there at
the lower entrance to the building, and two
above the building by the upper entrance
(keep following the road around to get to
these).
DIRECTIONS TO COMFORT INN
From the North,
take exit for Route 6 from Route 15. Turn
left at end of ramp onto Route 6 east;
follow directions for heading East on 6.
From the
South,
take exit for Route 6 from Route 15. Turn
left at end of ramp onto Route 6 east;
follow directions for heading East on 6.
Heading East on
Route 6, turn left onto Lambs Creek Road,
turn left onto Gateway Drive.
Heading West on
Route 6, turn right onto Lambs Creek Road,
turn left onto Gateway Drive.
FROM THE COMFORT INN TO MU
Go to bottom of driveway and
turn right, going back to Rte. 6. Follow
above directions "coming from the West (Rte.
6)
NOTE: There is no shuttle
from the hotel to campus.
Parking permits will be needed for Friday only; permit will be in your
conference packet.
